Sermon Video

This is a sermon I gave at my church (Canton Adventist Church) on 4/4/2009.

The audio is HIDEOUS at the beginning,
but it gets better once my dear hubby brings me a working microphone.

  1. Wow. What a powerful, powerful message. I am so proud of you, Sarah. Your heart and your courage are so inspirational to me. I started bawling at the end of the video of the dad and the son that ran marathons together. I know this is the WORST parallel ever, but, do you remember at grandpa's funeral when you kept singing when I couldn't anymore? You carried me through that song, Sarah...and really, you've carried me through so much more. I thank God that I have such an amazing sister as you.

Your message was beautiful. I love you.

  3. Sarah....I just got around to listening to your "sermon" and I want thank you for sharing it with us! You've gotten down to the VERY BASICS of Christianity and I appreciate your thought-provoking words and I love your tender-hearted spirit and courage.

  4. Hey Sarah, what a blessed message you put together! It is so true - if we all truly loved 'others' more than self, what a world this would be. A friend/pastor once put it to Doreen and I this way. We're all standing in a circle looking at the person across from us and seeing their faults and weaknesses. Now put Jesus in the center of that circle and you look at the person and see them through the eyes of Jesus. Someone who needs God's love!

Your message is an awesome reminder of that.

Amy's story, at the beginning really touched my heart, then to hear about the family that adopted her - WOW! Truly amazing!

Thanks for posting it here for us who couldn't be there could feel the love you shared in that message!!!

  5. Bearah,
Your poppa could not be prouder. God's love and His desire for us to share is basic, but so very powerful. Thank you for the lucid, cohesive and well thought out reminder. You are indeed loved, just because you exist as a child of God.
